AUPE President Guy Smith credited the members’ solidarity and determination to get a fair settlement with breaking the deadlock.

“The members of Local 020 work hard for their employer and their customers and this tentative agreement reflects that,” he said.

Your bargaining committee wishes to thank all Local 020 members for their patience, perseverance and dedication in achieving a fair and reasonable tentative settlement.

Members will vote on the tentative agreement by mail-in ballot. Ballots, which were mailed out to members at the beginning of January, must be returned to AUPE headquarters by Feb. 2. The ballots will be counted Feb. 3.

Local 020 members who have not received their ballots by Jan. 16 can go to the AUPE website and click the “Bargaining Inquiries” button on the right-hand side of the page, or they can contact Michelle at (780) 930-3310 or m.mireau@aupe.org.
The bargaining team members are Pam Malone, Bob Campbell, Lori Nemirsky, Alex Fehr, and Maureen McIlvride.
The bargaining committee is recommending acceptance of the tentative agreement.
